3D Web · Example 1 of 1

The showroom after Phase 12

Every project file of this phase, joined into one (local imports cannot run in the preview). Orbit the bike and watch the flakes glint.

The frame gets the Lumen paint: a metallic orange with tiny flakes that glint as the bike turns, under a glossy clear coat. It is one material, still lit by the scene's lights and environment.

Change the code and press Run (Ctrl+Enter). Predict what will happen first, then break it on purpose and read what changes. Your edits are saved and match the lesson page.

Ready for more? This phase has 5 hands-on exercises with automatic checks.

Practice questions

Write the code in the editor, run it, then open the model answer to compare.

01

Add a flakeColour uniform that tints the sparkle gold.

02

Make paintFrame also accept the fork only, by passing a list of names.

Explain it without notes

01

Why does the paint use MeshPhysicalMaterial and onBeforeCompile instead of a ShaderMaterial?

02

Why are the flakes computed in object space?
