Back to the lesson: Topic 4.4 — Text Alignment, Decoration and Transform
CSS · Example 3 of 3

Decoration styles and propagation

The inner span reports none, yet it is still underlined: the parent's line is propagated across it. Only the inline-block span escapes. In the second line, the price inside the span is struck through for the same reason.

text-align, text-decoration, text-transform, letter-spacing, word-spacing, text-indent and text-shadow control where text sits in its line, its lines and underlines, its capital letters, its spacing and its shadow.

Change the code and press Run (Ctrl+Enter). Predict what will happen first, then break it on purpose and read what changes. Your edits are saved and match the lesson page.
