Phase 0Beginner1 of 8 in HTML
Start Here: How the Web Works
What a website really is, what happens when you open one, the tools you need, and your very first HTML page. No experience needed.
This phase assumes nothing. You'll learn what a website is, what your browser does when you type an address, and the three languages every web page is made of: HTML for structure, CSS for looks, and JavaScript for behaviour.
Then you'll meet your tools (a browser, an editor and the browser's DevTools) and write your first real HTML page. Every example on these pages is live: change the code and the page updates right beside it.
